Civica Services wins share of £25 Million Central Buying Consortium Software Supply Contract
Software licensing expert handles three year programme for UK’s largest local authority buying organisation.
Civica plc, one of the UK’s most experienced providers of consulting, software and services for the public sector, has been awarded a major share of a £25 million software supply contract by The Central Buying Consortium (CBC). The three year contract will be handled by Civica Services, the group’s specialist volume software products and licensing division.
Civica Services will manage the supply of major software manufacturers’ products and licences to schools, local education authorities (LEAs) and local authorities represented by the CBC, effective from the start of 2005. It is the fourth consecutive time over a ten year period that Civica Services has been appointed to manage software supply for the consortium.
The CBC is the UK’s largest local authority buying organisation and was formed in 1991 to secure effective procurement agreements for a wide range of goods and services for its member authorities.
